Rice是個翻唱達人，同時也是一個創作達人。翻唱的eminem的“love the way you lie ”“not afraid”，非常受歡迎，用清澈的嗓音和旋律代替了說唱，一些不喜歡Rap的聽起來跟有感覺。同時還有許多經典翻唱。他和lil wanye合唱過“itapos;s you,在2010年與翻唱達人Jason Chen合作的《童話》，使更多中國歌迷感受到了J Rice的磁性聲音。 在2005 年他出過一張專輯《the Intro》2010年出了張自己的首張翻唱專輯《The Covers, Vol. 1》 ，這張是2011年最新發行的翻唱專輯《The Covers, Vol. 2》這個來自美國的白人男孩簡單的彈著他的吉他，或是鋼琴，淡淡的吟唱著自己的情歌，最簡單的伴奏，最清澈的嗓音，不需要任何修飾，對於他來說，最適合他的演唱方式 似乎一架鋼琴映襯嗓音便已完全足夠…
