早期生涯

1998-2002：早期生涯，Da Kaperz和單飛出生在1982年5月25日的Rasheeda童年過的平平穩穩，到了1998年，她加入了少女說唱三人組Da Kaperz，當年年底，組合簽約到了獨立廠牌D-Lo娛樂並發行了同名處女專輯。由於成績不佳，Kaperz其後一直被D-Lo娛樂閒置在一旁。不過D-Lo還是給了三人中有些才華的Rasheeda單飛的機會，面對得到唱片契約和選擇留在Da Kaperz的兩難選擇，這位女嘻哈藝人最終在2000年夏天選擇了前者。2001年3月27日，Rasheeda的首張個人專輯《Dirty South》推出，第一波主打“Do It”由Pastor Troy, Quebo Gold和Re Re客串，獲得了不錯的成績，該首歌曲在Billboard 200榜單上排名第77位，年底Rasheeda被Motown Records解約。1年之後，Rasheeda發行了自己的第二張作品《A Ghetto Dream》，然而專輯裡卻沒有一首歌曲被當作主打推出做宣傳，這也是她第一張獨立發行的專輯。
