職業生涯

作為對公眾良好反應的回應，一個完整的樂隊被組建來在舞台上表演這些歌曲，一張包含首張專輯中三首歌，名為Amber EP的EP次年面向全國發售，並讓Stoney得到機會進行第一次電台表演。2003年Stoney與小島唱片簽約，與製作人Kevin Bacon 、 Jon Quarmby 一起錄製唱片。在此期間，Stoney與他的樂隊以Stoneylacuna的名字進行表演，反映了從專輯Amber的歌手兼作者向大型樂隊成員的轉變。 但是由於次年的政治糾紛，Stoney與公司分道揚鑣，沒有推出專輯。Stoney幾個月後，限量版單曲Constantly Running在全國推出，唱片公司是小廠牌 Transistor。雖然國內反響良好，並且電台方面也取得了相當可觀的冠軍成績，但動力不再，Stoneylacuna只有解散。2004年末，Stoney 專注於提拔其他藝術家，並與Sheffield 的製作人夥伴Sam Jones一起創建了Lacuna Productions唱片公司。Lacuna 公司為Sheffield 的一些獨立音樂人的出道提供了機會，比如Bromheads Jacket 與 Little Ze。Stoney 在2005年初以前沒有進行表演，直到Constantly Running 打入iTunes周榜，重新啟動了一系列的活動。這支單曲首周在英國達到了多於 17,000次的下載量。Stoney接下來發行了EP Soap In a Bathtub，開始了面向全國的進一步探索。組建了一支全新的樂隊，Stoney 為樂團Arctic Monkeys 2005年夏季的巡演提供了支持。Stoney 成為了BBC2台、6台（音樂台）及其他節目的常駐嘉賓，與Jamie T, Athlete Feeder一道，用自己的高調行為及頭條表演贏得了“振奮人心而富有魅力的現場表演者”的名聲，以及國內冬粉人數的增長。2005年末一張包含歌迷最喜愛的歌曲Until You Leave及Holds the Stars 的CD以雙A單曲的形式發行。Stoney2006年，在德克薩斯的SXSW音樂節進行了一次現場表演後，Stoney接受了Rick Rubin的邀請，飛到Los Angeles 進行私人表演。兩人並不確定會合作一張專輯，但Stoney在美國電台（如Nic Harcourt台）的冠軍成績讓大西洋附近的歌迷越來越多，他的歌曲被多次用在了好萊塢的影視作品中。2006年夏天，Stoney發行了包含12首歌曲的專輯 The Scene and The Unseen（廠牌為Manchester的獨立廠牌Too Nice Recordings），並在iTunes上開放下載。儘管發行相當低調，這張專輯仍激起了國內媒體的廣泛好評，The Independent, NME, The Sunday Times ，The Daily Express爭相刊發了樂評。2007年11月這張專輯在Sonic Roar廠牌下再次在全英發行。2008年以來，Stoney 與製作人C.J Eiriksson （曾與u2, the rocket summer, Blue October共事）及Darin Prindle (曾與Madonna, Destinys child共事)一起致力於新的素材，現居住在德克薩斯州的奧斯汀2010年末，Stoney發行了一張由歌迷贊助的EP The Soar Before，僅在他的個人網站上或現場表演時銷售。Stoney 繼續與其他藝術家一起工作，目前忙於兩首電影歌曲。他經常與歌曲創作者Guy Chambers 合作不同的項目，也是奧斯汀當地頗受歡迎的樂隊Bobby Jealousy的吉他手。
