IAMX (I am X)是他的個人藝名國別：英國 (現居德國柏林)流派：Electronica, Rock, Indie, Synth-Pop, Trip-HopChris Corner：定居德國柏林的搖滾音樂家克里斯·康勒（Chris Corner）是英國音樂奇才，十五歲就和好友Liam Howe 在英國瑞丁共同創建了「壞心鴇母（Sneaker Pimps）」樂團，除了創作詞曲，同時也是樂團主唱，公認是「壞心鴇母」樂團的當家台柱。在解散Sneaker Pimps後，這幾年一直投身於IAMX，繼續著他的音樂事業。Chris Corner獨立創作他所有的作品，他將這些曲目演繹得很到位，沒有提攜依舊步上成功的台階。IAMX這項極具創新的音樂項目完全由Corner一人主導，沒有一家唱片公司或是經濟管理人可以束縛這位完美主義者的創造力，禁錮他的決定。只有他的好友和配合現場演奏的樂隊成員可以介入IAMX的空間
Sneaker Pimps是一個於1995年英國雷丁郡組隊的走trip-hop風格的樂隊 在Portisheads Dummy 和 Trickys Maxinquaye之後成名 效仿Portishead和Massive Attack樂隊 Sneaker Pimps的主唱Kelli Dayton以充滿熱情的演唱給人以恍惚但尖利的感覺。Dayton作為樂隊的焦點人物 Chris Corner（吉他手）和Liam Howe（鍵盤）也同樣是樂隊的領袖，他們創作幾乎所有的歌並製作專輯.然而,好景不長,在18個月的巡迴演出之後,樂隊卻開除了Kelli Dayton,取而代之的是Chris自己的男聲對此，樂隊的兩位核心成員Chris Corner和Liam Howe在自己官方網站上解釋道：“在《Becoming X》的專輯中，的確是由一個女孩在歌唱，她叫Kelli Dayton，並且參加了《Becoming X》專輯前後2年時間的宣傳工作，但是在《Splinter》專輯製作過程中我們換成了一個男聲作為主唱。這其中有不少原因，其中一個原因就是，因為許多所謂的tr*p-h*p樂隊都喜歡採用一個女孩擔任人聲和兩個小伙子負責製作這樣的形式，但這種形式已經泛濫成災了，並且通常總是女主唱會成為焦點，這使我們非常反感，我們就是要打破這種俗套的形式。”為表示對潮流的不屑一顧，兩人還故意把Trip-Hop寫成了tr*p-h*p話是這么說，可事實上正是當初Kelli Dayton的加盟，才使得樂隊聲名鵲起，否則的話，Chris和Liam可能至今還是籍籍無名。當然話又說回來，Chris和Liam的一番解釋也並不是沒有道理，看看那些被媒體大肆炒作拿來和Portishead來作比較的“Post Trip-Hop”樂隊，千篇一律都有一個女孩作為主唱。這其中有媒體的責任，也有樂隊本身的責任。而無論作為媒體還是聽眾通常都會首先關注這些女主唱，包括她們的聲線、唱腔、發音技巧以及在現場的表現力。於是，樂隊中的其他成員就會很容易遭到忽視，一個樂隊的整體演繹變成了一個女主唱的單獨表現。但具有反諷意味的是，既然是因為這個原因而換掉了女主唱，那為什麼當初組建Sneaker Pimps時還要找一個女聲來做主唱呢？不管怎么說，失去了Kelli Dayton這個出色的女主唱後，Sneaker Pimps總讓人感覺有些不再完整，無論是媒體還是樂迷都一致反對和深感失望。雖然由Chris演繹的男聲版Sneaker Pimps也別有一番風味，但相比可愛嬌柔的Kelli，還是讓人深感遺憾。在Kelli離開樂隊之後，樂隊變成了四人的編制，換了新工作室，並分別於1999年和2002年發表了兩張專輯，分別是《Splinter》和《Bloodsport》。代表曲目:Bloodsport6 UndergroundThink Harder
